This week I chose to share the cactus flower on the Bishops Cap cactus for my Friday Floral post. Bishops Cap (Astrophytum myriostigma) is on the endangered species list and is native to Mexico. The first time I saw this cactus it reminded me of a pincushion.

It certainly does look like a pincushion! 🙂 Hopefully it will survive. I’ve not seen one of these before. Your images are lovely!

Thank you! Even with watering, they looked a little sad. I saw some at Boyce Thompson Arboretum that looked much healthier, but they weren’t blooming.
