Cooler Days

I saw a photo on Facebook today that was a macro  image of frost by Varina Patel.  It reminded me of the photos I took last fall while in Iowa of frost that had not only never been shared, but never processed. This image was taken on one of my last days in Iowa last fall on the deck at my sister’s home.  Through my 105 mm macro lens, it was amazing to see the texture and shapes of the frost.

So on this scorcher of a summer Saturday, here is a little something to cool you off.  At least it is a scorcher here in Arizona!

The Power of Touch: Texture

Gold Glitter
Gold Glitter

This image was made at Pemaquid Point Lighthouse near Bristol, Maine.  The late afternoon sun reflecting on the rock looked like Gold Glitter.

Bit of Red
Bit of Red

As I continued looking at the rock I noticed a Bit of Red quartz.  All the different colors were gorgeous in the warm light just before sunset.
