We had quite the rain storm yesterday and possibly more today. This morning when I opened up the blinds on our sliding door to the backyard, it looked as if we had rain overnight. The block wall was partially wet and a few drops of water were dripping off the patio cover. As I looked around the yard, I was surprised at what I saw on the back wall. A dry area in the shape of a heart! I guess home really is where the heart is! And yes, I love flowers so much, there are even metal ones in my planters….

Raining Cats and Dogs

We had an amazing storm come through today…this morning it was raining cats and dogs! The streets were flooding all over the Valley of the Sun. Flash flood warnings have been out all day and still remain. Before today’s rain, we had only received 5 inches for the whole year. More rain is expected tomorrow. With rain comes the much coveted cooler temperatures. Perfect night for a walk around the neighborhood. This is what we saw.
