The calendar says it is spring and Mother Nature agrees.  Early spring flowers are blooming and the honey bees are already hard at work.  Below are Grape Hyacinths, muscari, is a perennial bulbous plant native to Eurasia.  Most commonly blue, the flowers resemble bunches of grapes.

Spring Monochrome

Learning to see in black and white while shooting is challenging for me. Participating in Leanne Cole PHOTOGRAPHY weekly Monochrome Madness has certainly helped me to see different. Going through my archives I have been finding photos that work well in monochrome. This week’s image is of a lemon tree blossom from this spring. Soon these once fragrant blossoms, that are now lemons, will be ready for picking and photographing!
