Fall Fotos

autumn-midwest-tree-lined-street-1157The trees have dropped their leaves and autumn color has faded away. Brilliant red caught my attention this fall as did landscape images instead of my usual macro photography.   Whether it was shooting my favorite street to drive down in the fall or the local parks, I certainly saw my hometown different than when I grew up here.  And if you have been following me for a while, you know I like different.  Below is a gallery of some of the images I made this autumn of the beautiful trees and lovely reflections at Oakland Mills State Park, Saunders Park and East Lake Park.

Autumn at Oakland Mills

Oakland Mills, Henry County, Iowa

Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns.’
~ George Eliot

It was a great day for a walk in the woods to recharge my soul.  Since moving to Iowa it has taken much longer to get settled than I expected.  Now it is time to get out in the field and do would I love most!
