Monochrome – Is It My Style?

The past few weeks a few of my monochrome photos have been in the gallery for Monochrome Madness on Leanne Cole PHOTOGRAPHY blog.  Processing my photos in monochrome is not something I do on a regular basis.  Is it my style?  The answer is yet to be determined.  I do appreciate fine art black and white photography, but believe it is a skill that takes time and vision.  For this week, a Thoas Swallowtail butterfly photo taken at Butterfly Wonderland in Scottsdale, AZ is in the gallery.

Jerusalem Sage

Jerusalem sage (Phlomis fruticosa) is native to the Mediterranean Region countries including Albania, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Turkey, and regions of the former Yugoslavia.  What intrigues me about this plant is the star shaped center that holds each petal.  The plant is quite fragrant with a sage-like aroma.

This monochrome image is part of the gallery on Leanne Cole PHOTOGRAPHY blog for this week’s Monochrome Madness.
