Sapho Longwing (Heliconius sapho) is native to Costa Rica. This butterfly drinks nectar and eats pollen prolonging it’s lifespan from days to weeks.

emerald swallowtail

One of my favorite butterflies to photograph at Butterfly Wonderland, is the Emerald Swallowtail (Papilio palinurus) which is native to Southeast Asia. This butterfly is also known as an Emerald Peacock or Green-banded Swallowtail.
