One of my favorite butterflies to photograph at Butterfly Wonderland, is the Emerald Swallowtail (Papilio palinurus) which is native to Southeast Asia. This butterfly is also known as an Emerald Peacock or Green-banded Swallowtail.
Enjoy your weekend!
I can see why one would be avidly drawn to this species…what a majestic beauty! Superb capture. I am mesmerized…
Ebullient cheers,
Autumn Jade
Thank you for such a lovely compliment!

What a showy beauty! And you snagged a gorgeous shot of it, too. 😀

Thank you Kathryn! They move fast and it takes a lot of patience to wait for this particular butterfly to land and be “still”.

I missed this one! What a lovely shade of emerald green, and beautiful capture!
