Found these at the Desert Botanical Garden last night just before sunset. Clouds were slightly covering the sun making beautiful soft light. There was a teenage girl on one of the trails who got a piece of Chollas stuck in her leg. Fortunately another guest has a multi tool with pliers to get it off her.

Oww, oww, oww! Those cholla (in my opinion) are the worst! Good reason to always carry a comb – and glad someone was able to help her. 🙂
