Nightlight

Nightlight
Nightlight

I keep my petals tightly closed during the day.  Walking by you may not realize that long after the sun has set will my beauty be shown.  Slowly I will loosen my petals layer by layer.  Once all my petals are wide open you will see a yellow center.  Moths and bats will be attracted to me.  I am nocturnal.  And will close once the sun shines on me the next morning, possibly not to be seen for another year.  You may have to stay out late to see my full beauty.  If you shine a light on me, my bright white petals will light up for you just like a Nightlight.
